1985 Rolex Submariner 16800

OVERALL: The iconic Submariner. The reference 16800 is a transitional reference and this example is in excellent condition. It mixes vintage and modern elements; has an open '6'/'9' date wheel and tritium lume w/ patina but also a sapphire crystal and white gold surrounds on the indexes. Service history is unknown but watch is running very strong and accurate; well within COSC. 

• BRACELET: Oyster 93150 with 593 end links. This is the original bracelet and in very good condition with nearly zero stretch, fully linked, and the crown on clasp is sharp. Bracelet has 12 links. Clasp code is 'J' (1985).
• CASE: Excellent and shows some signs of wear from use but I believe it is unpolished. Original chamfers are visible and all lines are very sharp; lug holes, bottom profile of case, crown guards, etc. Serial and reference numbers are clearly visible and no pitting between the lugs.
• BEZEL: Sharp 'teeth' (not polished down) with no nicks/scratches. Insert retains the original pearl and has patina'd perfectly with the dial/hands. Bezel turns and clicks smoothly.
• DIAL: Perfect glossy dial with tritium plots; patina matches perfectly on dial/hands. Scuff on cyclops.
• BOX/PAPERS: Box; slotted insert.
