Magazine B: 100 MilSubs Story

I had a family member give me this magazine as a Christmas gift as they knew I have a bit of an obsession/addiction with Rolex. I had never heard of the magazine before so I was very intrigued. It's a "brand documentary magazine" and each issue focuses on a brand and goes into its history, news, trends, interviews, stories, etc. Really cool stuff and I learned quite a bit about this brand I love so much. There were quite a few "whoa, that's nuts" moments as I read through that I wanted to share with fellow Rolex lovers/enthusiasts...here's the first one...

There is an interview with a Japanese vintage watch dealer (Aritake Antiques) which is great. In it, he shares his "most interesting story about Rolex watches" and goes on to say that he purchased ONE HUNDRED unused Military Submariners at once. That isn't even the crazy part. The crazy part is he sold them for ~$200 USD each and it took about 2 weeks to sell them all. His profit was ~$450 USD after all was said and done. He goes on to joke that if he sold them now, he'd be a billionaire, :)
