1988 Rolex Datejust TT 16233

OVERALL: The classic Datejust. The reference 16233 replaced the 16013 by adding a sapphire crystal and the iconic 3135 movement (arguably the most popular movement Rolex has made and is found inside Datejusts and Submariners alike and are still produced today!). This one is from 1988 so old enough to have an open 6/9 date wheel and tritium hands/markers for those of you that like that vintage-ish look. I purchased this from the same family that sold me a 16710 last year which was in equally strong condition (the man had great taste and took care of his watches). This watch was just serviced (3/21/2017), cleaned and overhauled so good to go!
  • BRACELET: 62523H with 474B end links. Stainless steel + 18K yellow gold. Original bracelet has light stretch and no heavy scratches or nicks. Bracelet has 22 links. Clasp code is 'M' (1988).
  • CASE: Light signs of wear from use. I don't think it has ever been polished; edges are sharp and lug holes have no rounding/softing. The original caseback sticker remains and you can still make out the Rolex crown and reference number on it.
  • BEZEL: Yellow gold fluted bezel. Ridges are sharp and once again show no signs of polishing/rounding. Small scratch/nick between the 6 and 7 hour markers.
  • DIAL: Perfect gold dial with tritium plots intact on markers and hands.
