1987 Rolex Submariner 5513
OVERALL: Great watch that combines the vintage tritium dial/hands + dome acrylic crystal with the modern white gold surrounds. Purchased from the wife of the original owner who was a pastor here in WA state and has passed. Merv (owner) bought the watch as a commemoration of 25yrs of marriage and had the caseback engraved "Merv & Georgia 1963 - 1988"; engraving has since been professionally removed (on 9/18/2016). Wife/Georgia told me Merv only wore it on special occasions. Original box and papers were stolen when their house was broken into years ago but a replacement period-correct box was purchased and comes with the watch. Watch was appraised by Ben Bridge Jewelers on 3/25/2016 and the appraisal will be included with the watch. Watch runs very well (has not lost time while I've been running it) but service history is unknown.
REFERENCE: 5513

- BRACELET: 93150 with 580 end links. Original bracelet has very light stretch and no heavy scratches or nicks. Bracelet has 12 links. Clasp code is 'L' (1987).
- CASE: Very thick. All edges are sharp which leads me to believe polishing was minimal to none. Light signs of wear from use.
- BEZEL: Bezel and insert have a bit of damage near the 9 o'clock marker (please see pics). Due to this, insert is glued to the bezel.
- DIAL: Glossy and markers/hands have a light creamy patina.
- BOX/PAPERS: No papers but period correct box (10 00 01).
